Appletree Lodge is a self catering unit equipped and furnished to a high standard and nestles in the delightful village of Glen Vine. 

The unit comprises of the following: 

- Accommodation for two people. 

- Fully fitted kitchen including fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.

- Comfortable open plan accomodation.

- Double Bedding sleeping arangements.

- TV, DVD Player, CD Player and selection of games and puzzles. 

- Bath, shower over bath and WC. 

- Central heating. 

- Welcome pack on arrival. 

- All inclusive price - no extra charges for gas, electricity, linen etc. 

- Sorry but no pets please.

- Bus stops within 100 yards in either direction. 

- Local shop and post office within 1 mile. 

- Pay phone within 150 yards

- Public houses within 1 mile. 

 

Local Facilities and Attractions

On your doorstep:

- The beautiful central valley running from Douglas in the East to Peel in the West. 

- The Heritage Trail walk along the disused Victorian railway. A delightful and eary footpath, which passes through the central valley wetlands or 'curragh', and a variety of flora and fauna abound. 

Within 1 mile: 

- The Union Mills village shop and Post Office (once the home of the Gibb brothers who have achieved worldwide fame as the Bee Gees) is open late into the evening. 

- The Railway Inn at Union Mills and the Crosby Hotel in Crosby are public houses that offer a wide range of refreshments. 

 

Within 3 miles:

- Ballacraine Farm quad-biking. Great fun and a super way to see the Manx countryside. 

- Tynwald Mills Centre, a fabulous shopping village offering quality goods. 

- National Sports Centre; Leisure pool, slides and whirlpools, health and fitness spa, sports hall and gym.

From Douglas take the main road to Peel. After travelling approximately 4 miles you will come to Glen Vine. Continue straight through the set of traffic lights and down the hill where you will find Oddfellows Cottage on the right, opposite the junction for Glen Darragh Road.
