Whilst some activities require specialist equipment, you may choose to bring this with you or there are a number of local providers and guides who can supply this for you and make your break even more stress free.

Home to over 24 beaches, the Isle of Man is ideally placed to enjoy the mental and physical health benefits of cold water swimming. Port Erin, Port St Mary, Ramsey, Douglas, Gansey, Derbyhaven and Castletown are some of the Island’s best beaches for sea swimming. Remember that cold water swimming isn’t completely risk-free, it’s important to know your limits and build your tolerance before taking that first icy dip!
If you prefer to experience the thrill and beauty of nature on land, the Island’s 18 National Glens provide the perfect place to practice mindfulness. Forest bathing, a Japanese practice of relaxation known as ‘shinrin yoku’, is the simple method of being calm and quiet amongst trees, observing nature whilst breathing deeply. Laxey Glen in the east and Ballaglass Glen in the north of the island are beautiful, peaceful glens where you can truly reconnect with yourself and the environment.
