The Isle of Man is home to an abundance of beautiful walks for both you and your pet to explore throughout your visit. From coastal strolls to mountain hikes, one thing for sure is that you will be spoilt for choice.
There are many helpful travel and accommodation providers across the Island who will be happy to assist you and your dog during your visit and will be able to supply you with any additional information on request to help your visit be as enjoyable as possible. To help you plan your dog friendly visit to the Island we have put together the following pet friendly information.
Dogs are permitted to travel via the Isle of Man Steam Packet ferries and can be booked and brought on board the Ben-my-Chree (Heysham to Isle of Man route) to travel in the Passenger/Dog Lounge or in a dog cabin. Alternatively your dog can travel in your vehicle. If your dog is a registered guide dog, please contact the Steam Packet directly for details and for further assistance.
Once on the Island, well behaved dogs are permitted to travel on buses at a standard dog fare, meaning you will be able to explore the Isle of Man with your four legged friend in tow! The bus routes will be able to take you around the Island and enable you and your dog to explore the beautiful views together. Alternatively, some taxi services will allow dogs to travel in their cars, with advance notice.
