For a small island the Isle of Man excels in the quality and variety of its locally produced food and drink – and what better way to celebrate this than at one of the Island’s food and drink events?
Make sure you bring your appetite for the two day Isle of Man Food and Drink Festival. This great day out offers visitors the chance to sample the very best of local produce, experience live cookery demonstrations, enjoy children’s activities and sample plenty of local entertainment. You can also watch local food producers craft culinary delights, from creamy Manx cheese, fresh seafood, hand crafted confectionary, meat and locally brewed ales and ciders.
The Island’s summer agricultural shows are great for a fun-filled, family day out and the chance to sample some of the finest local produce. At the Royal Agricultural Show in August and the Southern Show in July you’ll be able to meet the farmers and artisans behind the locally produced food and drink.
For the grown-ups, there are plenty of opportunities to sample the Island’s refreshing beers, ciders and spirits. The Isle of Man CAMRA Beer and Cider Festival in April features around 150 Beers, Ciders, Perries and Fruit Wines from around the globe – all combined with musical entertainment!
The Island’s food and drink events offer the perfect opportunity to pick up some local food and drink to enjoy on your stay or take home as a souvenir! Take home fancy artisan chocolates, local toffee and fudge, award winning cheese or real Manx ale and cider!
