The Isle of Man makes a great place to visit - whether you’re a family wanting to make memories to last a lifetime, a cyclist looking to explore the Island on two wheels or a dog lover who can’t bear to leave their treasured pet behind.
There are quality eating establishments across the Island catering for a range of different customer requirements. In order to help you find the perfect place to eat, we have worked with businesses to launch three Taste Welcome Schemes that identify customer-focused eateries that will meet your needs.
The Walkers Welcome Scheme has been developed for visitors to identify walker-friendly eateries to grab a bite to eat after an outdoors adventure – where you may not be looking or feeling your most presentable! These cafés, pubs and restaurants are well equipped for making walkers feel as comfortable as possible when choosing a rest-stop, with drying facilities for your wet equipment and boot scrapes for those with muddy footwear.
The Cyclists Welcome Scheme ensures that cyclists’ specific needs are catered for when they arrive for a meal. Businesses in the scheme are all committed to welcoming cyclists through their doors - even if they arrive covered in mud!
They are also well prepared to safely store bikes and provide facilities to refill water bottles and dry equipment. While there, customers can also find out about the local area by checking out the map provided and information on nearby attractions.
An increasing number of dog owners are taking their pets away with them on holidays in the British Isles. The Dogs Welcome Scheme highlights businesses that welcome both owners and their dogs into a designated dog-friendly area.
All eating establishments in the scheme provide water bowls for dogs on request, clear information on which areas are open or restricted to animals and details on popular dog-walking spots.
