About

Meandering down from the World famous Mountain Road TT circuit or cruising along the coast road from the East, you will find the Northern town of Ramsey. Newly built in Summer 2018,  Royal 1 perches five minutes walk behind the scenic Mooragh Park. It is the ideal luxury, 'home from home', whilst staying in the beautiful Isle of Man.  

Ground Floor- Royal 1 has a spacious, airy living area with large windows to enjoy the leafy foliage outside or unwind with the large plasma television. Wifi works throughout.  An ample supply of local food goodies await you as part of your guest starter hamper.  There is a large quality sofa bed in the lounge area that can sleep one adult, alongside a leather sofa . Double doors lead from the living area to the kitchen and dining room which boasts the latest in kitchen design and full kitchen appliances including washer/ dryer and dishwasher.

First Floor- Upstairs enjoys a distant view of the Mountain Mile and Snaefell. The cosy bedroom is the perfect place to rest, relax and recharge. A superking sized bed will not disappoint. High quality bedding and blackout blinds come as standard. The modern bathroom is stocked with large bath towels. An LED lit, bluetooth mirror allows you to play your music as you unwind in the shower/bath. A walk in wardrobe is a fitting place to store luggage and unpack leaving your rest area clutter free. 

Outdoors- South facing patio doors lead out to a  private terrace area for guests along with BBQ.

RAMSEY- Whether you enjoy a leisurely or brisk walk, BMX riding, a turn on the swings or watching the World pass by at the lake. Mooragh park has a lot to offer every age. The promenade showcases a natural coastline, also boasting ‘Dark sky status’,  as well as a protected marine area. All only 5 minutes away!

A 15-20 minute walk from Royal 1 takes you into the town where are a variety of independent shops, cafes, restaurants and watering holes await you. 

THE NORTH- There are so many adventures to be had. Choose your own pace. Endless uniterrupted beaches, tranquil glens, fantastic coastal wildlife, transport museum,  Motorsports, Curraghs Wildlife Park to name but a few.

Road Directions

Post code:  IM8 3UF. 

Driving from the Sea Terminal - 30 minutes. Driving from the Airport - 45 minutes.

By car/ bike head to Ramsey either over the Mountain Road (30minutes from Douglas) or via the Coast Road (40minutes from Douglas)

Once you reach Ramsey, go straight through past Shoprite and up Bowring Road all the way to the Grove Museum, go past the museum on your left. 

Turn right along Bride Road. Take the 3rd Right, past the old Grand Island Site on your left.

Turn right into Royal Park and follow the road round. 

The road bears left but carry straight on. We are at the end of the cul-de-sac. 

*Royal Park is a residential area. Please drive slowly and carefully. Pedestrians and cyclists both young and old use the area. 

 

Public Transport Directions

BUS- There is a bus service a short walk around the corner that can take you to Ramsey town. A bus timetable can be found online and within Royal 1 showing all available routes around the Island. 

The Number 3 bus will take you to the East, Laxey, Onchan and Douglas. The Number 5 bus will take you towards the West, Sulby, Ballaugh, Kirk Michael and Peel. 

TRAM The MER station is on Waterloo road in Ramsey. The trams take you to Douglas, stopping at various stops along the way. Laxey being the changing place for the Mountain tram leading to Snaefell. The magnificent view at Bulgam bay is not to be missed.  

Onward East will take you to Douglas. The Douglas, Summerland site meets with the Horse Tram station, trams can take you to the other end of Douglas Promenade, meeting with the hustle and bustle of the capital. Please see seasonal timetable. 

TAXI/ IOM TRIKE TOURS- We have a  couple of local taxi firms that may be able to meet your needs. IOM trike tours have a host of different  tour packages or custom made routes.
