Two Day Ukulele Discovery Workshop: 30th July and 1st August, 1pm
As part of our celebration for the George Formby film "No Limit" we are working with Mannic Ukers at the Manx Museum to provide a fun and educational beginners workshops for George's legendary musical instrument the Ukulele.
Embark on a delightful musical journey in this comprehensive two-day ukulele workshop suitable for beginners or improvers. Expert instructors will guide you through the fundamentals of ukulele playing, from proper holding techniques to mastering essential chords and strumming patterns. You'll learn popular songs while developing your musical skills in a supportive, engaging environment. Whether you've never touched a ukulele or have minimal experience, this workshop provides the perfect foundation for your musical adventure. Join fellow enthusiasts and discover the joy of making music with this charming instrument.
The classes are designed for ages 9 and up.
If you don't have a ukulele, don't worry! We can provide one for you. Just let us know when booking if you are bringing your own or if we need to provide one for you. We will also need to know if you are left or right-handed and your age to get the right size for you.
Additionally, please let us know if you are:
Beginner – never held a uke
Improver – knows a few chords and can strum a simple tune
Intermediate – know lots of chords and are adept at strumming patterns
Advanced – happy to play chord melodies, and tackle inversions
