Ride the Isle of Man’s country roads which snake around its hills and secret coves. Our world famous TT Races in June and the popular Manx Grand Prix in August are exciting times for bikers to visit the Island. Many accommodation providers offer specific services just for bikers, to help you both enjoy the Island and provide you with peace of mind that your wheels are safe and secure.

The Island’s Biker Friendly Scheme provides a selection of additional facilities and services, alongside the accommodation to make your visit comfortable and stress free. The additional space of drying room, visor and boot cleaning equipment and de-grease hand wash reduces the hassle of finding a garage. In addition to a secure storage area you’ll find somewhere warm and dry to hang wet clothing overnight and facilities for washing your bike. Your host can provide maps, guide books, and information on bike repair shops and petrol station locations. The local weather forecast will be provided daily together with details of local attractions and events to check out while you’re out and about.

Alternative and temporary accommodation such as Homestay, (available for the TT and Manx Grand Prix) campsites and ‘glamping’ sites are available to bikers, especially during peak times. Sleep out under the stars and enjoy the peaceful Manx countryside at amazing prices. Don’t forget to explore the beautiful shores and mystical glens that are located next to these campsites.

Fancy a local experience? Try the Isle of Man Homestay Scheme; an initiative encouraging the Island’s local residents to offer accommodation to visitors on their homes. This follows a ‘bed and breakfast’ scheme, allowing guests to stay with the host family, or on a self-catering basis where guests rent the entire property. All accommodation listed by our official Homestay scheme have been inspected to ensure it meets regulatory and quality requirements. If you are booking Homestay accommodation elsewhere please ensure, for your own protection, that it is officially registered. Homestay has proven a very popular option with visiting bikers who not only get great value accommodation but can also get the local experience from enthusiastic residents.
