Manx Wildlife Trust – Onchan Wetlands Meditation and Guided Walk

About

MWT Onchan Community Wetlands, offers a small piece of wild in the heart of Onchan! Full of twisted willows, dangling ivy and deep swamps this little site attracts an abundance of birds for its suburban location. Join us with a relaxing Sunday morning meditation and guided walk through the wetlands and find out more about the recent improvements and ongoing plans. A great opportunity to enjoy this unique Manx Wildlife Trust Reserve in the heart of Onchan. Refreshments will be served.

Parking is limited in local housing estate so please try to limit car usage.

Walkway is mixture of gravel paths and wooden decking however tarmac path on edge of wetlands and can view and experience from here and seating available. You can access the wetlands either via Church Road or Derwent Drive in Onchan. Dogs on leads allowed. This event is free with no need to book. It is weather dependant, however, so please check the Manx Wildlife Trust Facebook page for any updates.

Hot drinks provided as well as some chairs (although please bring your own camping chair if you can). Looking forward to seeing you there! Enquiries: enquiries@mwt.im or 844432

You can access the wetlands either via Church Road or Derwent Drive in Onchan. On road parking available. The site has limited access for wheelchairs. The full path around the wetlands is not wheelchair accessible, however the position of the event will be. Dogs on leads allowed.
