Visiting the Isle of Man - key things to know

Groudle River

Type:River

A wild Manx brown trout

About

A nice stretch of easily accessible fishing can be found on the small Groudle River where it runs through the beautiful Groudle and Molly Quirk’s Glens. This stream flows from the Clypse & Kerrowdhoo reservoirs and can be accessed from two entrances in the lower glen on King Edward’s Rd and two at the Whitebridge on the main Onchan to Laxey road.

There is limited on-road parking at Whitebridge (SC 405 787), but watch out for traffic on this busy road. Fishing is for small wild brown trout only; migratory fish cannot pass the large weir on the lower river.
