130th Anniversary Weekend Celebrations

About

A Birthday Celebration Like No Other!

Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th May | 11:00am – 4:30pm

Join us for a wonderfully nostalgic weekend as we celebrate 130 years of the Groudle Glen Railway and 40 years since its joyful reopening! Step back in time and soak up the sights, sounds, and smiles of a very special anniversary event.

Watch history come to life as Sea Lion and Brown Bear take to the tracks, enjoy a rare two-train service at authentic 1896 ticket prices, and don't miss the moment we mark the occasion with a ceremonial cake cutting at 10:30am (because every great birthday deserves cake! ).

A magical, memory-making weekend for families, railway lovers, and anyone who enjoys a touch of old-fashioned fun by the seaside. Come and help us blow out the candles! ✨
