The Isle of Man is packed with plenty of dog walking spots and outdoor space to roam around. With hidden tracks, long stretches of beaches and bustling plantations, your furry friend will have just as much fun exploring the diverse terrain as you will.

If you’re planning to come to the Isle of Man with your dog, you’ll need to know that your four-legged friend will also receive a warm welcome at your chosen rest stop and, fortunately, dogs are allowed in many pubs, cafés, and restaurantson the Island.

As the Isle of Man is a pooch-friendly destination, many of the pubs and eateries that do allow dogs to come inside also go that extra mile to make them feel happy and comfortable.

Our Dogs Welcome Scheme identifies the range of cafés, pubs and restaurants that are not only dog-friendly but offer additional facilities and services to keep your furry friend content while you enjoy your breakfast, lunch or dinner.

In addition to a warm welcome, you’ll find everything your dog will need such as a water and feeding bowls, pet washing facilities and feeding mat – some will even provide treats and toys to keep them occupied. For extra reassurance, outdoor areas will either be completely secure or have suitable facilities to leash your dog, if sitting outside.

All of these eateries will clearly display the areas in which your dog is allowed to go, whether it’s the entire venue or just the bar area. You’ll find local information about dog-friendly walks and attractions, including any restrictions. You’ll also find information about the available public transport and a map of the local area for you to refer to.

With more and more pubs, restaurants, accommodation and shops around the Island becoming dog-friendly, you’ll find a warm Manx welcome for waggy tails of all shapes and sizes here!
