Summer Evening on the Calf

Type:Guided Walk

Summer Evening on the Calf

About

Join Walking.im on a summers evening with a guided tour exploring the Calf of Man and taking in the setting sun as we sail back.

Departing from Port St Mary Harbour at 4.15pm our boat journey will take in this stunning coastline with its magnificent rock formations and our skipper will bring us alongside to view the 1000’s of noisy sea birds on Sugarloaf Rock and a close up of the ‘Drinking Dragon’ and it should be perfect timing for the stunning Sea Pinks to be in bloom.

After landing on the Calf, we explore this amazing and magical place that is far from the madding crowd, walking around the whole island taking in the history of the lighthouses, flora and fauna and hopefully catch up with one of the friendly bird wardens for the latest sightings from the observatory.

Finding a beautiful place to stop we will have light refreshments (cake and fizzy pop) before catching our boat home to return to Port St Mary at 9.00pm and seeing the setting sun (hopefully) across the sound.

This will be a really enjoyable trip, please bring clothes to suit the weather on the day and wear walking boots, shoes or trainers.

This trip is £42 pp, including the boat transfer, guided tour and refreshments and is limited to a maximum of 11 people.
