About
Create and decorate your own ceramic feeder designed for butterflies and bees. This hands-on workshop gives you a ceramic base with floral details, ready to paint and personalise.
You can use paints and pens to add colour, patterns, and designs inspired by nature or your own ideas. Once finished, add a string so your feeder can be hung in a garden or outdoor space. After decorating, fill it with pollinator-friendly food and see how it supports wildlife over time.
This activity combines creativity with a simple introduction to caring for nature.
- Paint and decorate a ceramic butterfly and bee feeder
- Use colours, patterns, and nature-inspired designs
- Add a string to hang your finished piece
- Learn how feeders support pollinators in gardens
- Take your creation home to display and use outdoors
This workshop links to the bees at The Grove Museum in Ramsey, where beehives are cared for in the gardens, and visitors can watch honeybees in action through an indoor observation hive. The museum also produces its own "Grove Honey", showing how local pollinators support food growing and biodiversity on the Isle of Man.
