About
Joe Martin live at The Institute, Laxey – 14 August
Joe Martin returns to Laxey Institute ahead of his Autumn UK tour, joined by special guests Katie Nicholas and Càel Oak.
A modern-day troubadour with a decade of touring behind him, Joe has played to tens of thousands across the UK, Europe and Nashville — including legendary venues on Music Row. His collaborations with top Nashville writers such as Johnny Garcia (Garth Brooks), Jill Collucci and Aaron Raitiere have helped shape his cinematic, story driven sound.
Rooted in classic Americana, Joe draws on influences from Simon & Garfunkel, Bob Dylan and James Taylor through to Townes Van Zandt, Jason Isbell and Kacey Musgraves. His acclaimed debut album Empty Passenger Seat (2023) marked him as one of the UK's most compelling new songwriters. His new record, Alone in Valentine (2026) — recorded in Nashville with Cal Campbell and Cornelius Webb — was released this April.
