Ultimate Driving Experiences

About

The continued success of the Ultimate Driving Experiences is down to enabling members of the public the chance to experience driving one of our historic electric trams or steam locomotives.

Each UDE event is run over one day and includes safety briefings, history and theory tuition, and the chance to drive one of our electric trams between Laxey and Ramsey, or a steam train between Castletown and Port Erin.

UDE's are available throughout the season, however as there are limited dates available, bookings for both Ultimate Driving Experiences are made on a first come first served basis - available dates, prices, and more information can be found in the booking forms on our website. Please contact Marieanne Hutton on +447624 697419 to confirm your preferred dates are still available.

A Driving Experience really is the best way to experience our railways - below are some customer testimonials after their UDE days:

"Thank you for such an unforgettable day, if we lived in Laxey we would undoubtedly sign up for additional courses (but it's a long way from Seattle!)."

"The UDE was everything that I could have possibly hoped for, the format of the day was perfect, and I cannot think of any way that it could be improved."

"I've just got back from a splendid day playing with No 7 on the MER."

"Just returned home to Sweden from a short holiday, of which the highlight was undoubtedly the UDE on the MER."
