History of Man

About

Once it was a smuggler's haven, the next it was a tourist paradise, and all of that on top of a foundation that stretches back to the last Ice Age. Come and see why this island was the centre of maritime sea power, and yet would be the first nation to give women the vote, and everything in between.

From tales of our Viking and Celtic origins to the stories of ordinary people trying to make a living in the era of smuggling on the Isle of Man, History of Man tours are designed to entertain you and possibly teach you something along the way

.All of my prices are inclusive of group size, and if it's a short tour you would like, then just contact me and we shall work something out. If you want to find out more about your family history then just message me and we can see what we can do regarding all of your needs from research to finding locations and everything in between.

Whether that’s going for a leisurely ride on our 150-year-old steam trains or our 130-year-old electric tram network so we can see the sights that are hard to get to in a car or using the comprehensive bus network to see all the major attractions getting a tour with History of Man is the way you can make the most of your time here on the Isle of Man.

All of the tours that I offer can be adjusted to suit your ability level, whatever that may be, for certain attractions, like the Manx Electric Railway, require you to book ahead of time to use the trailer they possess that is used exclusively for those with mobility issues.

If you have any questions at all, just head on over to historyofman.co.uk and give me a message on the website to be connected with me.
