Ravenscliffe Lodge

About

Ravenscliffe Lodge is the private wing of an elegant Victorian home dating back to 1849, perfect for a self-catering stay on the Isle of Man and occupying a prominent position at the harbour entrance overlooking Douglas Bay.

The lodge property (originally being the Servants Quarters) adjoins the main Ravenscliffe House, though is a completely separate house of its own, self-contained and private with its own entrance door, lounge , hallway and kitchen on the ground floor with bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs.

The location is a convenient 10 minute walk from the Inner Harbour, Town Centre bars and cafes, bus and steam train stations, Tesco Supermarket and the main shopping thoroughfare.

A short walk or drive across the Inner harbour bridge takes you to the Promenade, Douglas beach and Ferry Terminal, where there are regular ferries from Liverpool, Heysham, Belfast and Dublin and a Tourist Welcome Centre. From here, you can plan everything there is to do on the Island from, Horse Tram rides, trike rides to Electric or Steam Railway trips, walks in the Glens or on the beaches, Car Hire & Electric Cycle Hire.

Accommodating 4 guests, and with an emphasis on comfort, Ravenscliffe Lodge is set within private grounds enclosed by high stone turreted walls and accessed via a feature stone archway entrance.

Beautiful surrounding gardens contain character Victorian Brass lamp posts and the Lodge has a homely lounge with dining facilities including a cosy fireplace, a 42” flat screen TV and DVD player.

The kitchen/ dining areas include all essentials, and a separate utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer.
