Manx Wildlife Week: Himalayan Balsam Walk with the Friends of the Neb

Type:Wildlife/Nature

Manx Wildlife Week: Himalayan Balsam Walk with the Friends of the Neb

About

The aim of this event is to help people identify Himalayan balsam, raise the profile of Friends of the Neb and recruit enthusiastic volunteers who will be equipped to help report, map and pull Himalayan Balsam. Wear appropriate clothes for outdoors in the Isle of Man and footwear suitable for wet areas. If you know you are allergic to anything you could find outdoors, bring the appropriate medication.

The event will be at The Raggat, there are parking spaces at the entrance to the site on Glenfaba Road. It would be good if you can car share to avoid congestion. Although there is room for plenty of people a maximum of 20 are going to be able to benefit from the guided walk. Suitable for teenagers and above. For more info contact Roger at rbj@manx.net.
