Isle of Man Symphony Orchestra & Slaithwaite Philharmonic present an Extraordinary Concert

A joint concert with Slaithwaite Philharmonic Orchestra from Yorkshire. This is one of IOM Arts Council’s Extraordinary Events to celebrate their 60th Anniversary. 45 members of Slaithwaite Philharmonic Orchestra will join with Isle of Man Symphony Orchestra (thus making an orchestra of about 115 players) to present an Extraordinary Concert, featuring:

Mahler: Symphony no. 1
Britten: Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra
Music by: Chabrier (España), Mussorgsky (Night on a Bare Mountain) and Haydn Wood (Torch of Freedom)
