Americana Double Bill with The Jesse Janes Band & Joe Martin

About

The Jesse Janes Band
This incredible Americana quartet will be returning to the Island following last year's sold out tour. They will bring with them iconic Americana, Bluegrass and Blues classics as well as some favourites form the celebrated 'O Brother, Where Art Tho' 2000 movie soundtrack.

Expect to hear classic tunes made famous by the likes of Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, EmmyLou Harris, Alison Kraus, Elvis, The Stanley Brothers, Roy Orbison, Jimmy Rodgers and Gillian Welch to name a few.

The Jesse Janes are an Americana quartet made up of Irish sisters Kate and Mary Rose plus Liverpool lads Tom and Andy. They have been enchanting audiences in Ireland and the North West of England for over 10 years with their unique and joyful interpretations of Americana classics, alongside some of their own original songs.

The Irish/English quartet will be playing three dates on the Island between 4 and 6 April, and will be supported by Isle of Man-based blues guitarist John Gregory, AKA Blue John.

Joe Martin
Joe Martin is a modern day troubadour, a seasoned songwriter and performer having played to tens of thousands of people across the UK and Europe over the past decade, & has now made the Isle of Man his home

His sound is deeply rooted in the classic American style, drawing inspiration from a wide range of influences from American folk artists like Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan and James Taylor to songwriters such as Townes Van Zandt, Jason Isbell and Kacey
Musgraves, with storytelling and lyric a main focus of Joe's song-writing.

Honing his sound over the years on the road, Joe's personal stories have culminated in his debut album 'Empty Passenger Seat' which has been released to much acclaim.

He has now embarked on his next journey & recorded a second studio album 'Alone In Valentine' last autumn out in Nashville with sons of Glen Campbell and Jimmy Webb. The new album is being launched this Spring following by extensive UK tour.
