Greens Yoghurt Cake
A classic to the Greens menu and a customer favourite. We use Nicky & Nigel's original recipe to create a soft and delicious cake
that preserves the essence of the cafe's beginnings. The secret lies in the careful balance of ingredients, with yoghurt being the
star that imparts a velvety texture and moistness like no other. Perfect as an afternoon treat alongside a hot cup of coffee.
Ingredients:
For the cake:
- 12oz white sugar
- 12oz margarine
- 8oz Laxey self-raising flour
- 4oz Laxey wholemeal flour
- 125ml Manx natural yoghurt
- 6 eggs
For the icing:
- 2 Dessert spoons of yoghurt
- Enough icing sugar to form a paste
- Toasted Almonds to sprinkle over
