With a jam-packed schedule of excitement and thrills of the TT to entertain you, you are sure to work up an appetite and where better to refuel than the Island’s high-quality eateries?
Independently assessed to ensure quality, the Island’s Taste Scheme has a Motorcycle Friendly criterion to help you enjoy a hearty meal in a friendly environment where you can rest assured that your bike is safe, secure and ready for you to hit the road again.
This means you can enjoy high quality food with areas to hang your leathers and helmets, safe parking and up-to-date information on the latest TT news, weather and road closures, all served with a friendly smile and a warm welcome.
There are plenty of Motorcycle Friendly Taste accredited venues all across the Island, with some directly on the TT Course for your convenience to enjoy during the races and others located just off the beaten track so you can enjoy scenic roads and stunning views on your way there. Just look out for our Bikers Welcome logo!
Lake View Restaurant at the Ramsey Park Hotel
This elegant restaurant is located beside the Mooragh Park in Ramsey, so you can take a quick diversion off the TT Course to stop by. With plenty of parking and a full Bistro-style menu, you can relax in style as you take in the views of the famous Mountain Mile. This restaurant is both affordable and delicious, especially when taking advantage of the famous lunchtime deal of two meals for £11 though booking is advised.
The Cat with No Tail
Continuing your lap around the course, you can stop by this friendly and welcoming pub which can be found just off Cronk-ny-Mona as you leave the Mountain stretch. With an outdoor beer garden to enjoy the views and a spacious bar and lounge inside, the Cat is the perfect place to enjoy a catch-up with friends or good food from an extensive menu. There is also ample, secure parking for your bike and only a five minute ride back to the Grandstand to finish your lap in style.

HQ Bar and Restaurant
If you’re looking for something away from the closed roads, but still close enough to all the central amenities then look no further than the HQ Bar on the Promenade. Both spacious and friendly, the HQ Bar offers traditional food made from fresh local ingredients and the prices, like the food, will leave a good taste in your mouth. Its location also enables you to take a stroll to the Grandstand or walk along to the town centre, with its variety of shops as well as the full schedule of TT entertainment along the seafront.
The Highwayman
If you fancy enjoying a scenic drive on the open roads, then venture out to the Sunset City of Peel and make a pit stop at The Highwayman on the way. Recently refurbished, the Highwayman is a quintessential friendly pub with a relaxed atmosphere and a well-earned reputation for great food that is value for money. Especially for TT, there will be live music to keep you entertained and various spacious rooms to accommodate, as well as an outdoor garden and children’s play area to enjoy the lively, friendly atmosphere.
The CrafTea Weaver Tearooms
Another scenic ride is the coast road along the east of the Island to the quaint village of Laxey where you will find the CrafTea Weaver Tearooms. This charming establishment provides delightful teas and cakes to enjoy as you have an afternoon break away from the hustle and bustle of the TT roads. The tearooms also have many traditional and unique souvenirs for sale with the mantra that ‘everything you see is for sale’ so you can pick up some Manx tartan or traditional Manx gifts to take home with you.
Visit our website where you will find plenty more Motorcycle Friendly Eateries to enjoy delicious food right on the TT Course, from warm and welcoming Italian restaurants to traditional family pubs. Whatever you fancy, be sure to pick up a Taste Directory during your visit and look out for the Bikers Welcome logo.
