Shakespeare Castle Tour Macbeth at Rushen Abbey

About

Shakespeare Castle Tour 2026: Macbeth, Rushen Abbey
Step into a realm where ambition burns bright and fate tightens its grip. This summer, Shakespeare's Macbeth descends upon the haunting ruins of Rushen Abbey – a place steeped in history, silence and secrets, and the perfect setting for this dark and devastating tragedy.

On Sunday 26th July at 2pm, experience one of Shakespeare's most powerful plays brought to life in the open air. Beneath wide summer skies and among centuries-old arches, the tale of vaulting ambition, supernatural prophecy and consuming guilt unfolds with gripping intensity. From the eerie incantations of the witches to the unravelling of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, expect high drama, chilling tension and language that resonates long after the final scene.

Bring a blanket or low-backed chair, gather your bravest companions, and prepare for an unforgettable afternoon of theatre in one of the Island's most atmospheric historic sites.

Secure your ticket now for what promises to be a thrilling summer performance brought to life by TNT Theatre Britain and American Drama Group – Europe. https://manxnationalheritage.im/shop/product/2026-macbeth-rushen-abbey
