About
The Southern 100 Road Races offer a unique and memorable way to experience the Isle of Man, combining world-class road racing with the chance to explore the Island by day. Held each July on the fast and flowing Motor Isle Billown Course in the south of the Island, racing takes place in the evenings (with the exception of Championship Thursday), allowing visitors plenty of time to enjoy beaches, heritage sites, cafés and coastal walks before the action begins.
Known as the "Friendly Races", the Southern 100 is celebrated for its relaxed atmosphere, close racing and excellent spectator access. The event attracts leading international road racing competitors, delivering thrilling battles across multiple classes on a course famed for its mass start, high speeds and close finishes.
The week concludes with the traditional prize presentation in Market Square, Castletown, where riders, teams and fans come together in the heart of the Island's former capital. With its lively atmosphere, historic setting and strong sense of community, the Southern 100 provides the perfect blend of sport, culture and summer celebration making it a highlight of the Isle of Man's motorsport calendar.
