There are a variety of different ways for you to discover the Island’s vibrant greenery, local wildlife and exciting heritage attractions. The Isle of Man Steam Railway is the longest narrow gauge steam line in Britain that still uses its original locomotives and carriages. Experience the grandeur of travelling between Port Erin and Douglas as you ride on a Victorian Railway, led by an engine fuelled by fire and steam. Many heritage attractions are located within close proximity to railway stations making your travel stress free and easy to navigate.

If you’re craving to see the northern parts of the Island, catch a ride on the Manx Electric Railway which connects Douglas with Laxey and Ramsey. The 17-mile railway provides stunning views out onto the emerald countryside and scenic highlights of the Irish Sea.

Soak up the Island’s stunning coastline and incredible wildlife, by taking an organised boat trip. Get the chance to get close up to some local marine life, including basking sharks, dolphins and seals.

For those interested in the Island’s wildlife, but who want to stay on land, head to The Sound and Ayres Visitor Centre.

Fancy something a bit different? Take a ride on a Segway and breathe in the sights, sounds and smells at your own pace. For those with an adventurous appetite you can experience an off-road Segway Safari, where you can explore one of the Island’s beautiful glens. And if you’re a fan of the famous Isle of Man TT Races, a Trike Tour around the course offers visitors an exciting opportunity to cover the Island on three-wheels.
