About
Snaefell is the highest mountain and the only summitt higher than 2,000 feet on the Isle of Man at 2,034 feet above sea level.
On a clear day six kingdoms can be seen from the top of Snaefell: Isle of Man, England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales and Heaven.
At the top of the summit there is a cafe which offers refreshments and a regular tram service operates to the summit of Snaefell from Laxey during the summer months.
Snaefell is also a popular walking spot with walkers walking upto the summit either from Laxey or the Bungalow Tram Station where there is car parking available and special walking equipment is not required. Caution is however required in steep areas as grass, earth and rocks are often slippery.
Plan your trip to the top of Snaefell with the Snaefell Mountain Railway. Opening times, map, prices and what's nearby.
