About

Manx Menu Small Plate: Pan-fried Manx Scallops

Adding to the Isle of Man's unique biosphere's diversity of sustainability, the IoM king scallop fishery has been rated among the most sustainably managed in the British Isles.

An often-requested favourite dish of fresh pan-fried scallops with our lemon scented, chorizo oil cooked couscous and romesco sauce, is a must have on our Coast Bar & Brasserie menu and leaves our international and local guests wanting more of our proudly Manx menu favourite.

• Manx sourced scallops

• IoM Creamery butter

• IoM Creamery cream

• Laxey Mills flour

• Locally grown herbs including: thyme, basil, and coriander

Manx Menu Large Plate: Coast Lamb Shank

Nothing says Manx meat more than Manx lamb and many food critics have previously stated that our Manx lamb is just better, as a matter of fact it has been described as 'tender, juicy, and flavourful', and added that there is a 'distinct taste of pasture' and 'good husbandry of the animal'.

Our slow-cooked Manx lamb shanks are served on a roasted garlic mash, salted crispy kale, baby rainbow heritage carrots, and a deep lamb, redcurrant and red wine jus.

• Locally sourced Manx lamb

• Locally grown vegetables and herbs including: potatoes, onions, kale, baby carrots, fresh herbs, pea shoots, soft herbs, and seasonings

Manx Menu Dessert: Manx Bonnag with Peggy Dark Rum Ice Cream.

Manx Bonnag is a traditional bread-like cake made with flour, buttermilk, sugar, butter & raisins or currants. It is usually served with butter and jam and is a staple in traditional Manx households, but we added a new and modern twist to this age-old classic with a local legend Peggy of Castletown dark rum finding her way onto our very own Manx creation.

Crunchy butter and sugar-fried bonnag is the base of our dessert with a soft and well-rounded homemade apple, toffee and dark rum ice cream, finished with a dark chocolate sauce, and sugar & salted apple crisp.

• Laxey Mills flour

• Peggy of Castletown dark rum

• IoM Creamery buttermilk

• IoM Creamery milk

• IoM Creamery butter

• IoM Creamery double cream

• Gellings eggs

• Woodbourne deli honey

• Edible flowers, local nursery

Manx Menu Cocktail: Mermaid Coast

Experience our take on the classic mojito, featuring the finest Windsong White Rum, refreshing soda water, Staarvey Farm fresh mint leaves, and zesty lime, all served over crushed ice for a truly delightful sip that will transport you to a seaside paradise.
