Would you like to walk around the coast of an entire country? The Raad ny Foillan, the coastal footpath, is a challenging 100 mile walk. It can easily be broken down into leisurely sections so dipping into the magnificent views and wildlife is a must do for the whole family.

Walking on the Isle of Man is not just about challenging walks. There are hidden coves accessible only by foot, stunning glens just a few minutes’ walk from a road, deserted beaches, rolling hills, desolated moors and a feeling of remoteness coupled with some of the most beautiful scenery in the United Kingdom.

Each hotel, guest house, or self-catering property listed below has elected to be a part of the Walkers Welcome scheme, offering a range of additional facilities and services to help make your stay more comfortable. You’ll find somewhere warm and dry to hang wet clothing overnight, a place for your muddy boots, maps, guide books, details of local walks, and information on public transport to and from start/finish points along your chosen routes.

Serviced accommodation can also provide you with a packed lunch and filled flask if required, with self-catering properties providing flasks and cups.

Stay updated on the local weather forecast, so you can plan your walks. If the weather takes a turn for the worse, there are a wide variety of things to do and see in the meantime, from Manx Heritage Sites and musuems to afternoon tea rooms.
