About

Willow Nook Cottages

The cottages are situated up a long private lane amongst acres of farmland, private glens and gardens, making for a secluded and relaxing stay. The village is a 15 minute walk away, where guests can find shops, the pub and a sandy beach which stretches for miles.

In the warmer months, the south-westerly aspect means the patio areas to the front of the cottages become sheltered sun traps, perfect for enjoying lazy afternoons and evenings, fabulous sunsets and stunning sea views.

Willow Nook Cottages (Acorn & Rosehip) are managed by local self catering holiday cottage company Island Escapes. To make a booking, please visit their website

Map & Directions

Road Directions

From the boat

Travel out of Douglas towards Peel on the A1 - this is the famous TT course. Stay on this road and after approximately 7 miles you will come to some traffic lights at Ballacraine Crossroads. Here turn right towards Kirk Michael on the A3.

You willl be on the TT course heading towards Kirk Michael and Ramsey and will reach Willow Nook Cottages after approximately 6 miles on this road. After 5 miles you will descend a steep hill with a sharp left hand bend at the bottom. Continue along the straight and when you reach the next set of bends Willow Nook Cottages can be found at the bottom of the hill on the right hand side immediately before a white painted stone bridge (sometime covered in red and white TT crash barriers). If you get as far as the village of Kirk Michael you have gone half a mile too far.

From the airport

Travel north on the A3 for approximately 8 miles until you reach some traffic lights at Ballacraine Cross roads. Here continue straight on towards Kirk Michael on the A3 and follow the directions above from Ballacraine.

Public Transport Directions

There is a fairly requent bus service from Kirk Michael village to Ramsey and Peel and onwards to Douglas. Only a few buses a day go past the end of the lane. For details look at routes 5 and 6 on the Isle of Man bus timetable http://www.bus-man.com/BusMap/Map
