Approaching Knockaloe Beg Farmhouse up our private driveway on the west coast of the Isle of Man

About

Knockaloe Beg Farmhouse has recently been rebuilt in 2007 to replicate the original building, which dated back to the 16th century. The B&B accommodation comprises five double or twin en-suite bedrooms, all with TV/DVD and tea-making facilities. There are full internet services available and excellent mobile reception. There is a shared lounge for the sole use of guests. Breakfast is served at our 300 year old double gate legged round oak table.

The Accommodation in detail
There are five bedrooms, three on the first floor, each of which can be made up as double or twin rooms. Enjoy high quality beds with lots of springs and lovely goose down duvets and pillows, giving a luxurious nights sleep (hypo-allergenic duvets available if requested). All rooms have bath robes, radios, sewing kits and toiletries, as well as a box of spare things you may forget! There are also two rooms on the second floor; a family room with a king sized and single bed and a double room with superking size bed.
Guests have sole use of our beautiful sitting room. There are three comfortable 3-seater settees around a huge stone fireplace housing the wood burning stove. The windows look out to the fields in front and towards the barn and all our animals from the back. Cosy candlelit evenings round the fire are very popular.

There is an old pew in the porch for weary walkers to sit on to take their boots off! Wet clothes can be dried on your towel rails or the team can put them on one of the airers for you.

For breakfast you can choose from a wide range of traditional Manx farmhouse breakfasts to the lighter continental style. Home grown fruits, local apple juice and artisan bread, and lots of our own preserves and honey, with Manx yogurts compliment this. This is served communally, round the circular oak table, the place of many interesting conversations. There is a fridge and microwave for guests use and a music centre. The fridge is always stocked with complimentary wine, milk to take up to you room and with cheese and crackers for late night snacks.

Knockaloe Beg Farm is known for our care for the environment with several awards including a Gold 'Green Tourism Award', local 'Harvest' award, Trip Advisor 'Green Leaders' award and in 2018 the UNESCO Biosphere award for 'Education and Public awareness'.

If you would like the Knockaloe Beg team to make a booking for you (without you using the booking system) or if you would like more details, please phone +44(0)1624 844279 or follow the link to our website.
