The Old Coach House

About

Close to the west coast of the Isle of Man, The Old Coach House is set in its own extensive grounds with a large lawn, decked seating area and lovely uninterrupted views over the surrounding countryside. The setting is peaceful and secluded, providing the perfect getaway but still just a short car journey from Peel and St Johns.

A beautiful recent conversion and restoration updated the property to a high specification, including the installation of underfloor heating. Many original features remain, including the fireplace and slate cladding. These features combine to ensure The Old Coach House to be a comfortable holiday cottage which lovingly acknowledges its rich history.

The Old Coach House provides an ideal base for walking; the Steam Train Heritage Trail is nearby as is Peel Hill and the Raad Ny Foillan coastal footpath. Take advantage of this year-round; the warmer months are perfect for a sunny day out to Peel to enjoy all the seaside has to offer! Follow this with a trip to Niarbyl to witness the panoramic views for sunset, before hurrying back to The Old Coach House to enjoy a drink on the decking. In the colder months, why go anywhere?! Cosy up, light the log burner and experience a the chilling country weather from the toasty comfort of your sofa and a good book.

Despite being in the countryside, there's still plenty to see and do. Peel, a working fishing port with historical significance, is just two miles away. Visit Peel Castle and The House of Manannan, discover the culinary delights on offer from fresh ice cream to today's catch and explore the mazy streets and the town's independent shops.

The Old Coach House is managed by local Isle of Man holiday cottage company Island Escapes. Please visit their website to make a booking for The Old Coach House.
