Rushen Heritage Quiz Night 2026

Rushen Heritage Quiz Night 2026

About

The Rushen Heritage Quiz Night returns!

The first quiz was held in October last year and saw team 'Nob' run out the winners.

This year's quiz takes place at Port St Mary Town Hall on Friday, October 9, with well-known local quizmaster Mike Catlow returning to oversee proceedings.

Teams can have a maximum number of six members, with an entry fee of £25 per team, and you can register your team by emailing Rushen Heritage Coordinator John Quirk at rushenht@gmail.com or calling 464634.

The questions have once again been devised by Roger Putman and Susan Woolard, with three

rounds of general knowledge, three rounds of local history, picture rounds and, of course, a

music round.

The picture rounds will focus on historic Isle of Man landmarks and people, while the music

round will have a Manx focus.

RHT will provide some soft drinks on the night, while teams can bring their own alcoholic

drinks if they wish. There will also be a raffle, with prizes kindly donated by local businesses

and organisations.

Robert Graham, Chairman of RHT, said: 'Last year's quiz proved to be incredibly popular, with a packed town hall enjoying a fun – and challenging! – night and raising more than £600 for RHT.
