About

Riverside Cottage is a lovingly refurbished self catering holiday cottage located within the peaceful hamlet of Glen Chass, with sea views overlooking Port St Mary Bay and across to the Langness peninsula.

Sleeping 6 guests across 4 bedrooms, it's the perfect holiday cottage for families and small groups of friends. The secure garden with seating and dining table is the perfect place to unwind.

There's lots for guests to explore! The famous Raad Ny Foillan (Way of the Gull) passes nearby, a nearly 100 mile coastal footpath which winds its way around the coast of the island. Behind the house is a small glen to explore, with a network of footpaths leading down to the sea, where you may be lucky enough to see basking sharks, harbour porpoises, Risso's dolphin or Minke whales!

Whilst Riverside Cottage is in a quiet location, it's only a short drive to nearby Port St Mary (20 minute walk) and Port Erin. Cregneash is also nearby, where guests can take a trip back in time and experience a living illustration of a farming and crofting community from the 19th century. Take a trip to The Sound too, the perfect location to witness the Isle of Man's coastal beauty.

Riverside Cottage itself also holds a special place in the history of the Isle of Man, as it is the former home of Ned Maddrell, the last native Manx Gaelic speaker.

Riverside Cottage is managed by local self-catering holiday cottage company Island Escapes. To book Riverside Cottage please visit the Island Escapes website.
