Deborah has over 25 years of hospitality, tourism and travel experience; an award winning ex-Hotel Managing Director and a graduate of Cornell University General Managers program. Deborah was previously a volunteer on the Visit Board for the last 12 months and has worked with destinations for the past 13 years. Deborah is currently Chair of the Tourism Society and a regular speaker at events such as World Travel Market, Tourism Management Institute, the Annual Hotel Conference and the Short Term Accommodation Show.

Angela Byrne
Director of Destination Development
Angela is responsible for the delivery of 4 of the programmes within the strategy, including Air & Sea Improvement, Quality Improvement, Visitor Accommodation Transformation and Talent Development. Whilst we work to deliver the targets for each year as a team, Angela will be driving to improve the infrastructure and deliver quality to secure the future of Tourism for the Island.

Nicola Wilkinson
Director of Business Development
Nicola is responsible for the delivery of 3 of the programmes within the strategy including Visitor Product Development, Events Development and Market Development. The intention of the Business Development team led by Nicola, will be to drive new business and new opportunities for the industry, driving business from our feeder markets to help support growth of demand for the Island.

Melanie Allen
Director of Marketing & Communications
Melanie is responsible for the delivery of the Market Development programme within the strategy. Leading the marketing team to build an evidence-based approach to marketing, PR and communications and developing new marketing opportunities and collaborative partnerships.
Melanie joined the team from the borders of Scotland where she operated a 5 Star Gold B&B, was Chair of the Galloway & Ayrshire Biosphere, Board Director & Interim CEO of South of Scotland Destination Alliance and has a long and award winning career in marketing.

Business Development Manager
Caroline has over a decade of experience working in the travel and tourism sector, and is joining from The Modern Hotel Group based in Jersey, bringing a network of key partners including tour operators, wholesalers, travel agents and MICE related businesses. Driving new opportunities from the UK and Ireland, Caroline has already joined the Board of ANTOR (Association of National Tourism Offices), helping us to benchmark against international destinations and broadening our impact globally.

Mike Doherty
Events Manager
Mike focuses on growing events visitor numbers, bednights and spend through financial assistance schemes, advice and promotion particularly shoulder season events. Mike also develops and works with non-motorsport event organisers to attract new events to the Island.

Trish Joyce
Events Executive
Trish assists new event organisers with advice, marketing and promotion of their events. Trish also administers the Tourist Event Development Scheme alongside the Event Manager, which covers funding, event visitor numbers, and seasonality. Encouraging non-weather dependent events to take place in the shoulder months.
