Marketing & Digital Support

Are you an accommodation, events, activity or attraction provider looking to improve or develop your business’ new or existing marketing and digital channels? If so, there are several financial support schemes available to help your business build and maintain its brand awareness, improve its promotional activities, and increase digital reach to new and existing customers and visitors; ultimately helping both your business and the Isle of Man remain competitive.

Digital Marketing / Social Media Consultancy

Up to 50% of costs, up to £7,500 for exporting and key sector businesses only, this funds strategic marketing consultancy projects to help businesses grow off-Island.

  • Internal marketing audit

  • SWOT analysis and competitor research

  • Market assessments and entry strategies

  • Development of marketing objectives and action plans

  • Branding, logo creation, and marketing literature review

Eligible activities include:

  • Strategic and tactical marketing plans

  • New market identification

  • Branding and image development

Training may be supported at the department’s discretion. Recurring campaign costs, social media content creation, and printing are not eligible.

Marketing Consultancy

Up to £5,000 towards the cost of a marketing consultant assessing your business’ marketing strategy and branding to help you compete in the travel and tourism marketplace effectively. Includes marketing planning, strategy identification, branding and logo creation.

For more info on all of the above, see Business Improvement Scheme

Marketing the Island as a Destination

Up to 50% of eligible costs, capped at £10,000 per business per year, this supports marketing or events aimed at attracting off-Island talent or business to the Isle of Man.

  • Must promote the Isle of Man as a place to live, work or invest

  • Covers campaigns (digital, PR, media), SEO, and bespoke events (e.g. relocation, recruitment, investment events)

  • Day-to-day company promotion is not supported

  • Examples: targeted recruitment ads, live/virtual relocation events, campaigns to attract seasonal staff

  • Assessed case-by-case by Locate and Enterprise Support teams

  • Group limit: £10,000/year unless exceptional circumstances apply

For more info on the above, see Financial Assistance Scheme

Non-recurring Marketing Costs

Up to 40% of eligible costs, this supports new off-Island marketing activities aimed at generating additional revenue and economic impact.

  • Costs must relate to new marketing ventures (e.g. entering a new market, new product promotion, logo/branding)

  • Must show benefit to the broader visitor economy, not just the applicant

  • Activity must be off-Island focused

  • Repeat funding is tapered

  • Day-to-day marketing spend or campaigns aimed at retaining existing customers are not eligible

For more info on the above, see Financial Assistance Scheme

If you would like more information on the above schemes and to find out if you’re eligible to apply, please call the Enterprise Support Team on 01624 687333 to discuss your options.
