About

The Silverburn begins its journey above the village of St Marks, passing through Ballasalla before entering the sea at Castletown Harbour.  Sea trout and salmon do run it, but it is predominantly a trout stream.  For those after migratory species, the Douglas, Glass, Dhoo, Laxey, Neb and Sulby Rivers are better options.

Ticket info: Purchase an ‘other waters’ licence online at www.gov.im/onlineservices, at the Welcome Centre, Sea Terminal Building, Douglas, or at the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture’s headquarters St Johns.
