The ‘Visitor Economy Strategy – ‘Our Island, Our Future’ outlines the strategic plan for growing the Isle of Man’s Visitor Economy through to 2032 with headline targets of growing annual visitor numbers to 500,000 and an economic contribution of £520m. To achieve this, it is important for the Visit Agency to work collaboratively with tourism and hospitality businesses to ensure marketing and business development efforts are aligned. To help inform these activities, the Visit Agency launched the ‘Industry Sentiment Survey’ in September 2024. The engagement from local tourism and hospitality businesses provides valuable insights into industry sentiment and overall business performance. These insights are crucial for directing business development and marketing activities and will help to shape an autumn-winter programme of industry information sessions, workshops and training to support local tourism businesses to grow.
A summary of the survey results can be viewed below and provides insights into target markets, marketing, distribution, and the bookability of Isle of Man tourism and hospitality businesses.
We wish to thank all businesses who contributed to this survey. We will announce details of upcoming events and webinars in the coming weeks as part of the autumn/winter 2024 industry support programme.
