About

Hidden on the rugged western coastline just beneath Cronk ny Arrey Laa, sits the former home of eccentric recluse Colby Cubbon, who purchased the property hoping to escape the German bombing raids – ironically it was one of only two German bombs that fell on the Island landed just metres away.

The property is owned by Manx National Heritage, the Isle of Man's National Trust, Isle of Man registered charity number 603. It is operated by local Isle of Man holiday cottage company Island Escapes on their behalf. The farmhouse now offers a unique holiday destination for families, friends and small groups looking for an adventurous rural getaway.

Nestled along the Raad Ny Foillan coastal walking route and neighbouring the South Barrule mountain bike trails; Eary Cushlin offers something for every outdoors enthusiast.

The property benefits from a spacious living room, separate dining room and large kitchen along with breakfast bar, boot room, a downstairs shower room and upstairs bathroom. Sleeping up to nine people, the farmhouse has four bedrooms and for guests unable to use the stairs, an additional king size sofa bed is available in the lounge.

Please note that there is no mobile phone signal at this property, a telephone is provided which can be used for local calls.

Damage: Important! We are committed to protecting our properties which is why we now take a £500 refundable deposit with the balance payment for all bookings at Eary Cushlin. This will be refunded one week after checkout pending our property checks.

To book, please visit the Island Escapes page for Eary Cushlin.
