About

The ManxSPCA is an animal charity located in the centre of the Island. This dedicated organisation works to promote animal welfare across the Island as well as rescuing and caring for domestic and wild animals – whether they are injured, stray or simply unwanted.

The charity rehomes more than 600 dogs, cats, rabbits and other pets every year. They are all neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and health checked but some need more care than others and remain with the charity for several months until they are ready to be adopted.

It also rescues, rehabilitates and releases more than 450 birds every year, and more than 50 wild mammals such as seals, pole cats and hedgehogs.

The ManxSPCA is open to the public for animal viewing between 1.00pm and 4.00pm every day except for Thursdays. Visitors are able to view the animals in the Cattery as well as those in the Small Animal Unit, before taking a walk around the beautiful nature trail with views of the glorious Manx countryside.

The charity also runs a fabulous, dog-friendly Tearooms selling home-cooked meals and snacks from 11.00am to 4.00pm every day except for Mondays. There is ManxSPCA merchandise for sale at reception and a large collection of books on our bookshelf to help raise funds to give the resident animals the love and care the ManxSPCA is dedicated to provide.
