Bunkroom Marina House

About

Marina House was built as a seaside guest house in 1893. During World War II it was home to internees. After the war it continued as a guest house until Liverpool University bought it for student accommodation for Port Erin Marine Laboratory students. Once the Marine Lab had closed the building was derelict until we bought the building. After several years of renovation we have a fully refurbished building with a great space for guests.

Guest accommodation is on the attic floor of the building. There is limited head room in some parts of the hostel due to the roof beams. But  there are fantastic views across Baie ny Carrickey to make up for it.

All the beds are full sized beds and all bed linen and towels are provided.  We might have hostel classification, but this is an outstanding hostel, with luxurious carpets, bouncy pillows and a well equipped kitchen for self catering.  The hostel has 14 bed spaces in total so is suitable for large groups.
