Our two bedroom cottage, The Byre, on the west coast of the Isle of Man

About

These two self-catering cottages have been recently renovated to a very high standard. They are old barns for the farm and as such are part of the farmyard. Guests can have as much or little to do with the farm as they want. You can help John feed the animals in the morning, join the girls getting the ponies sorted out - or just have peace and quite in our idyllic setting.

The Stables sleeps 6 in three double or twin en-suite bedrooms. We have zip and link beds so you can have any combination to suit all guests. There is a ground floor bedroom with accessible wetroom. The kitchen-dining room has a well thought out design with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. It goes into the sitting area with a lovely wood-burning stove, fully equipped with large flat screen TV and DVD, plenty of games and a selection of books and toys for children. Behind the cottage is a private garden with gorgeous hot tub and BBQ to borrow.

The Byre sleeps up to 4 in two bedrooms. The first is a double or twin en-suite room with super-king sized bed, the second, a twin room with fully accessible bathroom next door. This can be made into a single for wheelchair users to give more space. The lovely sitting room - kitchen looks out over the hills and has a wood-burning stove with comfortable seating around it. There is a private garden fenced for well behaved dogs! We take dogs in the Byre under strict conditions. The leather settees and stone floors mean it is easy to clean post dogs!

Both cottages are accessible to accompanied wheelchair users. They have a level access wetroom each and useful handrails. There are easy access ramps to the front door of each. These facilities do not affect the use of the cottages for able bodied visitors at all.

Knockaloe Beg Farm is managed by local Isle of Man holiday cottage company Island Escapes. Please visit their website to make a booking for The Stables or The Byre

Damage: Important! We are committed to protecting our properties which is why we now take a £35 fee from each booking as a damage waiver. This is included in the price you pay and covers you for up to £500 worth of accidental damages to the property that could occur whilst you are staying.
