Situated between the coastlines of England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, you’ll find a hidden gem – the Isle of Man.

Blessed with an extensive coastline, stunning natural landscapes and unspoilt beaches, the Isle of Man is a perfect holiday destination for an action packed break, a relaxing place to unwind or anything in between.

The Island’s rugged and dramatic coastline stretches for 95 miles and offers stunning views of the Irish Sea, rocky cliffs and beautiful bays.

If you’re feeling particularly adventurous, the Raad Ny Foillan coastal walk or ‘The Way of the Gull’ is a demanding walk that takes you approximately 95 miles around the coast. It is a highly rewarding adventure with fantastic views that vary as you make your way around the Island.

If you’d prefer something less extreme, the walk can be divided into four areas of either 17 or 30 miles which allows you to explore different parts of the Island’s terrain. Starting from either Laxey, Gansey, Niarbyl or Ballaugh, your coastal walk will let you experience the unique charm of the Isle of Man.

Another wonderful way to view the Island’s stunning coastline is to take an organised boat trip which gives you the chance to see some of the local marine wildlife, such as basking sharks, dolphins and seals.

A number of companies offer boat trips and can cater for general or specialist requirements - including photography trips, fishing or just a simple coastal cruise. Aside from the marine wildlife, there’s also an abundance of coastal birds - including kittiwake, guillemot and puffins to be spotted - which can be found nesting in the cliffs, on the sandy beaches, or in the coastal grasslands.

Or if you fancy seeing the coast from a totally different perspective, you could try canoeing, kayaking, coasteering on even cliff abseiling during your visit through the Venture Centre or Adventurous Experiences.
