Oie Vie Cottage

About

Oie Vie Cottage (pronounced "Ee Vy" in Manx, meaning "Goodnight"), a charming and mobility-friendly holiday retreat set in the peaceful Manx countryside. Located on the same site as the owner’s home but with its own private entrance, this delightful self-catering cottage offers a perfect escape for couples seeking comfort, relaxation, and a true taste of rural life.

Split across two levels, Oie Vie Cottage has been designed with accessibility in mind, featuring a stairlift for ease of movement between floors and a shower chair for added convenience.

Nestled in the heart of the Manx countryside, Oie Vie Cottage is surrounded by stunning landscapes and fresh country air. Not too far away is Ballaugh beach, a huge expanse of sand and shale where dogs are allowed year-round and is a designated dark sky discovery site, perfect for stargazing. Another area to explore locally is Ballaugh Curraghs, a unique wetland home to wild wallabies and diverse bird species.

The area surrounding Oie Vie Cottage boasts beautiful walking trails, ideal for exploring with your four-legged companion.

The Isle of Man TT races roar past the cottage on the main road, offering a prime spot to witness the thrilling action as competitors accelerate out of Ballaugh!

The property can sleep up to four people with use of a sofa bed, available at an additional cost.

As this cottage is based on a working rural site, guests should be mindful of farm machinery and animals. Access to the property is through a working stable yard.

Oie Vie Cottage is managed by local self-catering accommodation company Island Escapes. To book Oie Vie Cottage, please visit their website.
