Croit Rance Holiday Cottage

About

Nestled in sweeping pastoral land with dreamy glimpses of the sea, Croit Rance Cottage offers a truly tranquil escape on the island’s beautiful east coast. Sitting moments from the coastal footpaths, glens and heritage of historic Maughold, this is an idyllic retreat for walkers, nature lovers and those seeking a quiet getaway. Best of all, your four-legged companion is warmly welcomed to wander beside you.

Sink into a slower rhythm at Croit Rance Cottage. Each morning begins with birdsong wrapping around the cottage, soft light drifting over the fields, and the sound of the heritage electric tram gliding past the hillside above. From your garden, you can watch sheep graze in neighbouring fields and admire the coastline shimmering on the horizon, while the rolling landscapes invite you to explore the rugged paths and wild headlands that make this area so special.

After a day of adventure, return to your cosy retreat. Head to the games room for an endless amount of entertainment before settling into the lounge with a film, listen to the wind weave through the hedgerows, or enjoy a warm drink after a long walk along the Raad ny Foillan. The cottage’s peaceful setting creates the perfect atmosphere to truly switch off, reconnect, and savour each moment.

Despite its rural charm, Croit Rance Cottage is within easy reach of local treasures. Wander to the nearby tram stop, Rome's Crossing, and hop aboard for a scenic ride along the eastern coast. Explore the ancient crosses of Maughold, discover hidden glens such as Ballaglass and Cornaa, or head into Ramsey, the nearest town for shops, cafés and souvenirs. Whether you’re exploring the coastline, woodlands or history, everything feels close yet blissfully unhurried.

Inside Croit Rance Cottage, you’re greeted with welcoming and comfy interiors, ideal for couples and families, adventurers, and those travelling with pets. With countryside views from almost every window and a garden that feels wonderfully private, this is a place where days are blissfully relaxed and evenings glow under big open skies.

If you’re seeking a rural retreat that is peaceful, scenic and soaked in island charm, Croit Rance Cottage offers a stay you’ll remember long after you leave.
