About

Get ready for Hop tu Naa fun this half term at Cregneash Folk Village.

Come along to carve your own traditional turnip lantern, take part in seasonal crafts, and start your Hop tu Naa celebrations early in a living historic village setting.

This hands-on experience brings together family activities, Manx traditions, and an outdoor autumn atmosphere.

Activities include

Carve your own turnip (moot) lantern
Autumn-themed crafts and colouring in the marquee
Fancy dress welcome for children and adults
Turnips available for £3 each
Free drilling service available daily from 10am to 3pm
Staff on hand to support carving and safe tool use
Useful information

No need to book, just turn up and take part
Suitable for families and children (adult supervision required at all times)
Expect outdoor activity across uneven ground, so please wear suitable footwear
Activities run while supplies last each day
Some busy periods may involve short waits for turnip drilling or carving stations
All materials for crafts are provided where required
Fancy dress is encouraged but should be practical for outdoor conditions
Standard admission charges apply for entry to Cregneash
