Visit Isle of Man is hosting several drop-in networking sessions for the benefit of businesses in the local tourism industry over the next few months.

Aimed at local businesses or individuals who are involved, or who are interested in becoming involved, in offering visitor accommodation, attractions or events, the sessions will enable attendees to engage with industry experts, other members of the Tourism industry and the Visit Isle of Man team. The sessions will provide an excellent opportunity for members of the industry to ask questions and understand what assistance and resources are available to them.

The first of the sessions is being held on Wednesday 21st November between 2pm and 7pm at Brightlife in Andreas, and industry members also have the option to book 15 minute one-to-one sessions with the Tourism team if they wish to discuss something more specific.

As part of Visit Isle of Man's commitment to the Island's Biosphere status, it will be welcoming a representative from UNESCO Biosphere Isle of Man to its Northern session to give an opportunity for the industry to learn more about the importance of the project and how tourism trade partners can sign up as Biosphere partners.

The MiQuando Homestay Team will also be in attendance from 2pm until 4pm to answer any questions for anyone interested in taking part in the scheme to offer accommodation at TT and the Festival of Motorcycling.

Further drop-in sessions will also be held on the following dates:

  • Wednesday 16th January 2019: Best Western Palace Hotel & Casino, Douglas
  • Wednesday 13th February 2019: Castletown Town Hall, Farrants Way, Castletown
  • Wednesday 20th March 2019: Peel Centenary Centre, Atholl Street, Peel
