Position: Lat 54° 04’.4N Lon 04° 43’.7W

The port of Port St Mary is located on the South coast of the Isle of Man.

VHF: Channel 12 (Office hours, 7 days per week)

Admiralty Chart: No. 2696 (plans in the Isle of Man)

Admiralty Sailing Directions: No. 37 - West Coasts of England and Wales, including the Isle of Man

Anchorages: Cruise vessels generally anchor about 5 cables SE of the Alfred Pier (Breakwater) and 5 cables SW of 'The Carrick' in about 20 to 25 metres of water. 

Restrictions:  No restrictions. 

At Anchorage: No restrictions. 

Entry: No restrictions outside of the bay. 

Port Limits: The whole of the Bay ny Carrickey included within a straight line drawn from the eastern end of Port St Mary Point (Kallow Point), in an easterly direction, to the rock in the Bay called the Carrick, and from there, in a northerly direction, to the rocks immediately under Kentraugh, known as the Black Rocks.

Directions: Cruise liners normally anchor in a position about 5 cables SE of the end ofAlfred Pier (Breakwater) and 5 cables SW of the Carrick Rock in depths of about 20 to 25 m. Bay ny Carrickey is untenable in strong winds from E through SE to SW.

Max. Tidal Range: From 0.3 to 6.4 above C.D. (6.1 metres) on high spring tides.

Tugs: No tugs available.

Radar:  No radar coverage. 

ID Cards: Required for ISPS Code purposes. 

Facilities: Passengers ferried from cruise vessels are normally landed at the seaward steps on the Alfred Pier (Breakwater).Where vessels’ tenders are used for such landings, such tendersmust have valid certification and carry all necessary safety equipment.

Water: Fresh water is not available. 

Fuel: Fuel is not available. 

Waste Disposal: Garbage skips can be supplied by arrangement through Agent.
