About

Rushen Heritage Centre on Bridson Street, Port Erin, hosts regular exhibitions throughout the year promoting the history and attractions of the Island's 'beautiful south’.

Books and gifts produced by Rushen Heritage Trust can also be purchased when visiting.

In collaboration with Visit Isle of Man, the Centre displays visitor information leaflets from organisations across the Island and is staffed by our volunteers, who are happy to answer any questions and show you around the exhibitions. The Centre has a small research library which is available for the public to use.

Rushen Heritage Trust was formed in 2014 as a non-profit organisation and regularly stages major exhibitions, an annual season of talks, and publishes books covering a host of local heritage subjects. For example, World War II Internment, the development of Port St Mary, and the history of William Milner, Port Erin's most significant benefactor, and the iconic tower that bears his name on Bradda Head.

Please visit our website or Facebook page for Rushen Heritage news and forthcoming events.

Rushen Heritage Centre is open 10am-4pm Tuesday to Saturday from mid-March through to the end of October, and on occasional days during the winter.
