About

Langton Cottage is an attractive holiday home enjoying a fabulous location by the side of the outer harbour in Port St Mary. Built in 1840 this former quarryman’s cottage retains many of its original features yet has been fully updated to provide comfortable, cosy and homely accommodation.

With its sea and distant views the cottage is ideally suited to those who wish to enjoy the quiet and/or the outdoor life. It’s a short walk to a child friendly beach - pier fishing, sea fishing and wildlife trips are on the doorstep - it’s on the coastal walking path and is surrounded by three golf courses which are all within easy reach.

Holiday Let Accommodation Lounge / Dining Room

The living accommodation comprises a through lounge/dining room with door leading to the patio and secluded rear garden. With ample comfortable seating and an open coal fire this is the place to relax in the evenings and on the more inclement days. Coal, firelighters and kindling are all provided and all we would ask is that you use the fire guard at all times. The TV receives both Freeview and Freesat channels and there is a DVD facility together with Wi-Fi.

The rear of the property and the garden enjoy fabulous views over the outer harbour and distant mountains. There is always something going on on the water be it arriving visiting yachts, sail training/racing yachts, dive boats, charter boats or the arrival of the fishing fleet. Enjoy a BBQ or simply relax over a glass of wine and take in the atmosphere of this lovely place.

The Kitchen

The self catering kitchen is well equipped and should have everything you will need for an enjoyable stay. Appliances include a cooker/oven/grill, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker and washing machine. A supply of cleaning materials is provided and if the mood takes you there is also an iron, ironing board and hoover!

Bedrooms

The Cottage is furnished to a high standard and our aim is to provide comfortable, cosy and homely accommodation.

All of the bedrooms are supplied with high quality Egyptian Cotton bedding and towels and the King Sized beds are fitted with Super King duvets to provide that extra touch of luxury. Linen is changed on a weekly basis.

Bedrooms 1 & 2 are on the first floor and Bedroom 2 can be made up as a double or twin depending on preference.

Bedroom 3 is on the ground floor and features a stone wall which adds to the cottage feel. This room can also be made up as a twin and can accommodate a cot if required.

All bedrooms contain good hanging and drawer space.

Family Bathroom

The newly refitted Family Bathroom is also on the first floor and comprises bath with electric shower over, vanity unit, heated towel rail and easy height loo. A wall mounted blow heater adds to the comfort of the room.

To ease the pressure on this facility there is a separate loo located on the ground floor!

Port St Mary is quiet village with a great pub, good restaurants and range of shops. The Steam Railway Station is within easy reach and there is a regular bus service. The surrounding scenery is spectacular and the coastal walk to Port Erin is a particular favourite. For those interested in Motor Bike Racing the Southern 100 Course is just three miles away.

A small pet is welcome but it should be noted that the refundable Security Deposit is increased from £100 to £300. Please note on your booking form if you will be bringing your pet with you.
